Security forces have killed nine militants in Balochistan during operations under Operation Radd-ul-Fasaad 3, according to security sources.
The operation took place in Mastung after militants allegedly attempted to attack a security post in the Kank Valley area.
Security forces responded and killed two militants during the initial exchange of fire, the sources said.
The remaining militants fled the area. Security forces pursued them and killed seven more militants, bringing the total number killed to nine.
Security forces recovered a large quantity of weapons and ammunition from the militants. Three motorcycles were also seized.
One security personnel was injured during the exchange of fire and was shifted to hospital for treatment, according to the sources.
Security sources said operations against militants would continue until the last terrorist is eliminated.
