A petition has been filed in the Federal Constitutional Court challenging the imposition of governor’s rule and emergency in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Advocate Yusuf Javed has filed the petition, seeking to declare the imposition of emergency and governor’s rule illegal.
The petitioner has requested the court to rule that it has the authority to review the imposition of emergency and governor’s rule.
The petition also alleges that the measures were imposed with mala fide intent. It asks the court to direct the relevant parties to withdraw the notifications imposing emergency and governor’s rule in the province.
