Minister of State for Interior Talal Chaudhry has said the Constitution contains multiple provisions that could be used to ban Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).
He said the government did not want to take such a step while a political government was in place. He added that the government had also not wanted to impose governor’s rule.
Chaudhry alleged that PTI had failed to treat terrorism as a serious issue over the past 14 years.
He further said that handing over the entire government to Adiala, Bani Gala or Murad Saeed would lead to similar outcomes.
