A court hearing a petition seeking the recovery of three sisters of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan has summoned the Punjab home secretary and Kot Lakhpat Jail superintendent in person, directing them to appear with their replies.
Justice Abher Gul Khan heard the petition filed by Shahraiz, while Rana Mudassar Umar appeared as counsel for the petitioner.
The lawyer argued that the detention orders for the three sisters expired on October 19 and 20.
During the hearing, the court asked why the Lahore deputy commissioner had not been made a party to the case. The petitioner’s counsel responded that the deputy commissioner’s detention notification had expired, which was why he was not included.
The court adjourned further proceedings until October 28.
