The PTI parliamentary party in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly has demanded provincial representation in the negotiation process, calling for Ali Amin Gandapur to represent the province.
In a unanimous statement issued after a party meeting, the parliamentary group said Sohail Afridi remains the constitutionally recognised chief minister and Junaid Akbar the provincial president. It clarified that no decision regarding constitutional or organisational positions was made during the meeting.
The statement also expressed concern over a post and remarks by PTI Secretary General Salman Akram Raja and urged Chairman Barrister Gohar to take notice.
The party leadership was also urged to announce a clear and effective strategy for protests without delay.
