Pakistan’s Minister of State for Interior, Senator Talal Chaudhry, has said that the Islamabad High Court’s order is binding and cannot be disregarded by provincial authorities.
Speaking to the media, Chaudhry said provincial powers could not be used against the federal government or another province.
He said, “Whenever the situation begins to improve, they play the same game again,” without elaborating further.
Chaudhry said the Islamabad High Court’s order applies to all provinces and institutions and warned that anyone who violates the court’s directive could face contempt of court proceedings.
He also questioned the political influence of those involved, saying their “street power” had already been seen in the streets of Lahore and Wazirabad.
His remarks come amid heightened political tensions surrounding planned PTI activities and the enforcement of court orders.
