Former prime minister and PTI founder Imran Khan has expressed concern over his wife Bushra Bibi’s eye condition and directed his lawyer to seek legal relief through the courts.
According to sources, Imran Khan was aware of recent political developments, including the imposition of Governor’s Rule and the federal government’s move to enforce an emergency in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, when he met his lawyer at Adiala Jail on Monday.
Sources said the meeting, held after a prolonged gap, was reportedly limited to professional and legal matters, in line with a mutual understanding that no political discussion would take place.
They added that Imran Khan was already informed about developments outside the jail, including recent constitutional and political changes, although his lawyer did not brief him on these matters during the meeting.
The meeting also provided an opportunity to discuss Imran Khan’s health, which sources described as satisfactory. However, Bushra Bibi is reportedly facing an eye-related problem, causing concern for the PTI founder.
Sources further said Imran Khan instructed his lawyer to pursue legal options, particularly through the courts, to secure relief in Bushra Bibi’s cases.
He reportedly emphasised that the matter should be taken up before the appropriate judicial forums to seek relief in accordance with the law.
The meeting took place amid heightened political tensions following the imposition of Governor’s Rule and emergency measures in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, where PTI was previously in power.
