The federal police have been provided with modern net launchers ahead of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) march scheduled for September 27, according to police officials.
Police said the net launchers will allow officers to quickly deploy nets at protesters during situations involving resistance or damage to public property.
According to police, the federal police will use net launchers for the first time during a PTI protest.
Police officials said the equipment could help officers arrest suspects and handle emergency situations. They added that the modern net launchers are designed to assist police in controlling individuals during difficult situations.
