On July 20, 2021, 27-year-old Noor Mukadam was murdered in the F-7 sector of Islamabad. Her body was found in the house of her murderer along with the murder weapon. Since then her case has been under the radar of both national and international media.
A total of 11 suspects, including 6 employees of Therapy Works have been arrested in the case. Phone call records show that Zahir’s parents, house-help and the team of Therapy Works tried to conceal the evidence. Noor was murdered before 7 in the evening and police was informed after 9 that too by neighbours.
Zahir’s mother Asmat Admajee made hundreds of calls to her milieu to ensure that her murderer son escapes the scene. Amjad, a Therapy Works member, was injured by Zahir and taken to the hospital. There, Therapy Works tried to fool the doctors by saying that he was injured in a “car accident.”
The medical report has declared Zahir Jaffer mentally stable and forensic evidence proves that the murder was indeed carried out by the prime suspect Zahir Jaffer. Many of Zahir’s friends have now come forward to testify against him, but only to save themselves because their testimony is no longer needed. Similar to the case of Kasur’s Zainab, CCTV footage, fingerprints and DNA evidence is sufficient to lead the murderer to gallows.
Now that more than a month has passed, facts related to Noor’s murder have started to sort out. Since his arrest, Zahir Jaffer has claimed that he killed Noor because she refused to marry him. But investigations have revealed that Zahir had no intentions of marrying Noor at all. He killed her because she refused to engage in an illicit affair with him.
The list of Zahir’s lies does not end here. Unlike his claims, Noor didn’t come to his house at her own will. In fact, she was lured into the house by his friends and forced to stay. During the two days in Zahir’s cage, he subjected her to physical violence as well as sexual abuse before beheading her.
It was not the first time Zahir torturing a woman. It has also been revealed that Zahir Jaffer and certain of his friends have a history of blackmail and violence against women. Although it costed her own life, Noor Mukadam saved the lives of many girls from these savages by exposing them.
