Cricketer Yasir Shah Booked In A Minor Girl’s Rape Case

Pakistani test cricketer Yasir Shah has been named in a rape case of a minor girl in the federal capital city of Islamabad. Shah has been booked along with a close friend on the charges of sexual assault and blackmail, Crickwick reported.

According to the first initial report (FIR), a complaint has been lodged in Shalimar police station, Islamabad against the friend of Pakistan cricket team spinner, Yasir Shah under rape and other provisions. The victim’s aunt, who filed the FIR, also leveled serious allegations against Yasir Shah in the FIR.

According to the text of the FIR, the 14-year-old victim Farah went to Lahore with her aunt on June 1, 2021 at the invitation of Yasir Shah. There, Yasir’s friend Farhan befriended Farah and on the following 14 August, lured her in a taxi and took her to a private flat where he abused her at gunpoint and recorded her videos.

According to the victim, Farhan and Yasir Shah both threatened to make the video viral if she approached authorities. Yasir Shah allegedly threatened to use his “big player” influence to get the vicitm into trouble.

“When I approached Yasir on WhatsApp and told him about the incident, he made fun of me and said that he likes underage girls,” Farah alleged in the FIR.

According to complainant, Farhan continued to blackmail her and took her to a private cafe and raped her again. She added that when she approached the police, the national cricketer proposed to buy her a flat and bear her “expenses for the next 18 years”.

Yasir Shah is yet to comment on the allegations made against him. Meanwhile, the police have confirmed the registration of the case and started investigation into the incident.
