Noor Mukadam’s name has been echoing through Pakistani news and social media since her gruesome murder. Analysts and human rights activists are calling Noor’s case “a test for a system that too easily bends to power and influence.”
51 days after the murder, the case is still in proceeding despite the presence of a red-handed caught murderer, murder weapon and forensic evidence. Meanwhile, the murderer and his accomplices are busy negotiating their way out.
Jaffers are seeking “privacy” during the hearings claiming Noor’s murder is their “family matter.” Blinded with power, Asmat Adamjee, Zahir Jaffer’s mother, is throwing tantrums and snatching phones of media personnel outside Islamabad court.
At Today’s hearing, all the accused, including the main accused Zahir Jaffer, were ordered to be present on September 23. The court said that after the attendance of all the accused at the next hearing, copies of the challan would be distributed among them after which the accused would be charged.
Noor’s case is not about justice for Noor alone anymore, the whole world has set eyes on Pakistan. These letters to Prime Minister Imran Khan from Pakistanis in different states of the United States show how cardinal Noor’s case is for Pakistan.
