Noor Mukadam Murder Case: High Court Issues Notices On Bail Appeals Of Murderer’s Father

In the latest development in the Noor Mukadam murder case, the Islamabad High Court (IHC) has issued notices on the bail application of Zakir Jaffer, father of Zahir Jaffer. The court sought replies from the relevant parties about the plea of the main accused’s father.

Recently, the District and Sessions Court, Islamabad had rejected the bail plea of ​​accused Zakir Jaffer. Yesterday, Zakir Jaffer again filed a bail application, this time in the Islamabad High Court.

The Bail-after-arrest plea of Zakir Jaffer was heard in the Islamabad High Court on Monday. The hearing was conducted by Justice Amir Farooq of the Islamabad High Court.

Asad Jamal Advocate appeared in the court on behalf of the accused Zakir who requested the court to grant bail to Zakir Jaffer after his arrest. The Advocate told the court that his client was arrested in the Noor Mukadam case on the basis of false and fabricated allegations.

Zahir Jaffar, his father Zakir Jaffar and the three accused were brought to the court handcuffed in the same chain for today’s hearing. Zahir Jaffer and his mother Asmat Adamjee requested the court to keep media out of the courtroom for their family’s “privacy”. Adamjee also made a cameraman delete the video he had taken from his mobile phone.

After the hearing, the court issued notices to the relevant parties seeking reply and adjourned the hearing till next week. Zakir Jaffer and Asmat Aamjee, parents of accused Zahir Jaffer, are currently lodged in Adiala Jail on judicial remand.

27-year-old Noor Mukadam was brutally murdered on the night before Eid in the federal capital of Islamabad. Her decapitated body was found in Sector F-7 of ​​Islamabad.

Her father Shaukat Muqaddam, a former ambassador of Pakistan was called at the scene to identify his daughter. According to police, accused Zahir Jaffer tortured and killed Noor and later severed her head from her body.
