New DC Movie Shows Superman Destroying Indian Military Equipment In ‘Disputed Kashmir’

The new animated DC movie called ‘Injustice’ has portrayed Kashmir as a disputed region. The movie shows superman and Wonder Woman destroying military equipment of the Indian army to make it an arms-free region.

Clips from the movie released on Tuesday, October 19 have been making rounds on social media which have riled up some Indian users. Indian fans of DC Comics are criticizing the publisher of the comic book for showing Kashmir as a disputed territory.

In the newly released animation, Superman and wonder woman are seen ripping apart Indian Air Force F/A-18D Hornets armed with AIM-9L Sidewinder InfraRed (IR) Close Combat Missiles (CCMs). Parachutes, presumably carrying pilots, can also be seen descending on hills below. At the end of the viral clip, Superman declares the Federal Union Territory free of arms.

In the background, the narrator’s voice explains how Superman and Wonder woman ended conflicts in various regions around the world.

“In disputed Kashmir, Superman and Wonder Woman destroyed every piece of military equipment, declaring it an arm-free zone,” the video says.

Both Pakistan and India claim rights over the ethnically diverse Himalayan region, but Indian Occupied Kashmir is much more militarized than the Azad Kashmir. Moreover, India also claims Jammu and Kashmir as it’s an integral part.

Indian fans are expressing their vexation due to the portrayal of Kashmir in new DC movie over twitter.

“DC fans show some patriotism and cancel Injustice. It is just some ugly propaganda. This anti-India rhetoric should be exposed,” an Indian user wrote on Twitter.

Another enraged user urged his compatriots to “ban DC films in India.” One user, however, claimed that such scenes have always been part of the DC Universe, even before the advent of voiceism.

The film has only been released in 4K, blu-ray, and digital formats. In the movie, Superman is also seen between flags of Israel and Palestine, urging two representatives to “agree to the terms, or they will be agreed to for you.”
