A horrifying scandal of raping and blackmailing girls with their obscene videos has come to light in Quetta. The videos of the girls were made viral by the accused after two persons including the main accused named Hidayat Khilji have also been arrested by the police.
Police say that the two arrested suspects are brothers. Both of the accused are in the custody of the police on 14 days physical remand.
According to the details, Hidayat Khilji used to lure the girls by promising to give them jobs. After drugging the victims, the accused raped them and recorded videos to blackmail them in future.
Police has recovered a number of videos from the suspects’ laptops and other devices which have been sent for forensics. The FIA Cyber Crime Wing has also been contacted for assistance.
Along with his two other partners, Hidayat is also involved in the kidnapping of two girls who are still missing. Police say that they are conducting raids to nab the third accused Shani and he will also be arrested soon.
DIG Police said told the media that a woman filed a complaint with the police regarding the abduction of her two daughters. The obscene videos and pictures of the two girls were also shared on different platforms.
“The woman blamed that Hidayat Khilji and his brother Khalil abducted them,” DIG said while ddressing a presser in Quetta.
DIG Police, Fida Hussain, added that the two girls are reportedly trafficked to Afghanistan. Afgan government has been contacted at the federal level for their return. A committee has also been set up to investigate the scandal by the Balochistan government.
As per the media reports, accused Hidayat Khilji also has the backing of influential political figures. On the other hand, after the scandal came to light, the #HIDAYAT_THE_RAPIST is trending top on Pakistani social media. Users are demanding severe punishment for the main accused Hidayat Khilji.
