Halloween Gone Wrong: Man In Joker Costume Injures 17 On Tokyo Train

A 24-year-old man disguised as the “Joker” launched a knife attack and injured 17 people in Tokyo, Japan. The incident took place at a train station on Sunday evening when most people were dressed in different costumes for Halloween.

The regular hustle of the halloween turned into a horror crime scene when The Dark Knight inspired joker started stabbing passengers of Tokyo train. Eyewitnesses say they saw the suspect in a green shirt and purple suit.

The spine-chilling videos of the incident show scenes of horrifying chaos. Passengers were seen running from one carriage to another and jumping off the train’s windows to save their lives.

According to the train passengers, the attacker sprayed a clear solution on the train carriage and then set it on fire after injuring multiple people. The subway passengers tried to escape the flames by climbing out of the windows once it stopped.

At least three commuters were seriously injured due to stabbing while one elderly man fell unconscious, Tokyo’s fire department reported. A viral picture of the attacker shows him smoking a cigarette with a calm face after the attack.

“I thought it was a Halloween stunt. Then I saw a man walking with a long knife,” an eyewitness told the local press.

As per the media reports, the attacker was arrested by the police on the spot. The accused has told police that he liked the role of the Joker in the Batman comics and acted like a clown because he was ‘impressed’ by him.

The accused also said that he wanted to kill many people so that he could be executed. The police suspects that man had been “wanting to kill someone since June” because he had quit his job and lost several friends.

In the popular 2019 film ‘Joker’, the character played by Joaquin Phoenix is being harassed by many people on the train. Ironically, this is the moment when the character begins to turn into a clown.
