The rape case of a British girl in Pakistan has turned out to be a sham schemed by the alleged victim herself. The supposed incident had taken place on June 26 in the city of Lahore.
A British-Pakistani girl filed a case on June 29 claiming to be raped by the son of her father’s friend in the area of Wahdat Colony. The news of alleged rape soon went viral and all major news platforms covered the incident.
CM Punjab Usman Buzdar sought a report from CCPO Lahore about the incident and the accused named Faizan was arrested in no time.
However, the police upon investigation found the situation contrary to the 26 years old girl’s claims. The alleged victim, who is a drug addict, had framed Faizan for sexual abuse to teach him a lesson.
According to the police, accused Faizan used to forbid the so-called abused girl named Aman from taking drugs. Upon which, she planned revenge against Faizan and got him arrested.
The police also revealed that the victim girl had submitted the wrong data for the registration of a case. Authorities were given the wrong identity card number for registration in FIR.
The mobile number provided by Aman in the FIR also turned out to be incorrect. The number provided was actually of a mechanic named Mazhar.
Moreover, the girl refused to undergo medical inspection to confirm the rape allegations. The girl did not even show up to the police station for legal action upon being called.
It was also revealed that the fake victim girl had approached the accused Faizan in court for marriage. The lawyers of the girl manipulated the accused to sign the papers in court.
The case appears to be yet another attempt of soiling the already ramshackle image of Pakistan. A British tabloid, The Daily Mail was quick to report the incident of ‘rape’ while linking it to several other similar cases.
“The 26-year-old woman’s case is sadly not rare in Pakistan as there have been more than 22,000 rape cases reported to police across the country in the last six years,” The daily mail wrote.
Now that the police investigation has found the rape allegations to be false, will The Daily Mail publish the updated news with a clearer view of the truth?
Not long ago, baseless stories about the rape and forced conversion of a Christian girl named Sunita Masih and the attack on a church in Pakistan were circulated on social media.
While the news had got international coverage, little or none was published when the propaganda behind the news was exposed.
