Exclusive: FIA Unearths International Child Pornography Racket in Rawalpindi

The wave of child pornography is sweeping through the country. The number of reported cases is rapidly growing with every passing day, so is the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Cyber Crime Wing’s vigilance. Over the years, FIA has arrested several cybercriminals, blackmailers, and pornographers, using modern technology.

In yet another significant development, the FIA Cyber Crime Wing has arrested a member of a child pornography racket from Rawalpindi.

The accused operated several Facebook pages, messenger, and WhatsApp chat groups to collect, share the process, and disseminate sexually explicit videos/pictures of minors. He also lured minors into chats and obtained their explicit videos. These videos were then sold out to an international child pornography racket.

A team of FIA Islamabad raided his residence in Chaklala Rawalpindi on a tip-off and arrested the accused identified as Jameel Khan.

The FIR lodged against him is available with The Blind Side. According to it, a case was registered against him under Section 20, 21, and 22 of PECA 2016.

Hundreds of objectionable videos and photographs involving minor boys and girls were recovered from his possession. FIA has sent the offender’s laptop and other gadgets to the Punjab Forensic Laboratory for further investigation.

Last month, a Rawalpindi court had awarded the death sentence to Sohail Ayaz, a leader of an international child pornographic racket on the dark web. Similar arrests were made in Karachi and Narowal.

Earlier in 2015, police exposed a child abuse ring in Kasur, Punjab. Investigations revealed that a gang of 25 criminals had made over 400 videos of 280 victims of abuse.
