A proud moment for every Pakistani as Pakistan-origin Barrister Amber Qureshi has been elected as a member of the Lincoln’s Inn Bar Representation Committee (BRC) 2020.
With this sweeping victory, she also became the first Pakistani woman to make it to the Lincoln’s Inn BRC.
According to its website, the Honorable Society of Lincoln’s Inn is one of the four Inns of Court in London that consists of barristers from England and Wales and where they are called to the Bar.
The Committee exists to provide representation on behalf of those who have been called to the Bar by the Inn and who have not been elected Masters of the Bench.
Commenting on her victory, the Blackstone School of Law & Business in the UK said that ‘Qureshi had broken a glass ceiling by securing a sweeping victory in the elections.’
