Two Martyred Dozens Injured After Israeli Forces Attack Palestinian Muslims Inside Masjid Al Aqsa

At least two innocent Palestinians were martyred and over 170 injured after Israeli security forces stormed the historic Al-Aqsa Mosque in Occupied East Jerusalem.

Tens of thousands of Palestinian worshippers were gathered in the mosque on the final Friday of the holy month of Ramadan, while many protesting against the illegal occupation of Palestinian lands by Jewish settlers when Israeli forces launched an attack using tear gas, rubber-coated bullets, and shock grenades.

No world body, including the UN, condemned the Israeli aggression and illegal settlements in the occupied valley.

The United States Department of State ‘expressed concerns about the escalating violence in Jerusalem, and called on Israeli and Palestinian officials ‘to act decisively’ to deescalate tensions.

“There is no excuse for violence, but such bloodshed is especially disturbing now, coming as it does on the last days of Ramadan. This includes Friday’s attack on Israeli soldiers and reciprocal ‘price tag’ attacks on Palestinians in the West Bank, which we condemn in no uncertain terms.”

The US Department of State was also ‘deeply concerned about the illegal eviction of Palestinian families in the Sheikh Jarrah and Silwan neighborhoods of Jerusalem.

It called on Israel to halt forced evictions in the Occupied East Jerusalem, warning that its actions could amount to “war crimes.”

“We call on Israel to immediately call off all forced evictions.”

“East Jerusalem remains part of the occupied Palestinian territory, in which international humanitarian law applies. The occupying power cannot confiscate private property in occupied territory.”

Iran’s Supreme Leader called on Muslim nations to keep fighting against Israel, which he said was not a state but a “terrorist garrison”, adding that fighting the Israeli regime is a “public duty”.
