Jen Ellis, the woman behind Bernie Sanders’ viral mittens which he wore during President Joe Biden’s inauguration, has received over 13,000 orders after being famous.
Pictures of Sanders wearing the mittens and crocs had gone viral soon after the inauguration. The products, mittens especially, got people curious about the origin of the product, and when Jen came out as the woman behind those beautiful mittens, she was soon inundated with orders for the product.
Ellis, a 42-year-old elementary school teacher from Vermont gifted those mittens to Sanders after he lost to Hillary Clinton in the 2016 Democratic presidential primary. She made them for Sanders with repurposed wool sweaters and fleece made from recycled plastic bottles for the inside lining.
The woman recently appeared on the MSNBC morning show where she is auctioning a couple of new pairs in an effort to raise money for two local organizations in Vermont.

Ellis tweeted out the details on social media, saying one pair will benefit “Passion 4 Paws,” a foster-based, dog rescue in the state.
On a very special day when people wear branded attires, Bernie came out in a casual yet comfortable outfit that soon grabbed the attention of netizens. His pictures sitting calmly on a chair, wearing mittens and crocs were parts of every other meme on the internet on the inauguration day. However, he was unfazed by all that had taken the internet by storm.
On a television show, Bernie said he has been enjoying all those memes he has been a part of.
Yeah, I have seen some of them and all of them are hilarious.
To a question, if he knew he was going to attend the inauguration ceremony, Bernie laughed and said, he was just trying to be comfortable and pay attention to what was going on there.
