The wait is over Wonder Woman 1984 is in cinemas now .I have been waiting for this movie for so long. The reason I like Wonder Woman and Mulan is because I am fed up of these Cinderella type stories and dramas.
I mean what are we showing and teaching our Young girls ?
For me , Cinderella’s story is flawed and weary .Let me tell you Why , you are normalizing violence and injustice in the first place .Are you going to tell your girls that It’s Ok to be mistreated .
You should not raise your voice out of respect ?
Secondly, You are teaching them that they cannot do anything for themselves, they need a Prince charming to change their fate.
Thirdly , Cinderella’s Plot is indoctrinating that It’s normal to suppress your emotions ,wishes and dreams for the sake of others .
(Those others who are never going to appreciate your efforts and reward you for your sacrifices ).
Fourthly , We are misleading our Young girls by not telling them that marriage is not a bed of roses even if you marry a Prince , Lady Diana’s story is infront of us.
So Now is the high time to face the realities and change our stories .
I am not against men and marriage but we cannot teach our daughters and sisters that marriage is their only ticket to happiness and an ideal life.
Be a Wonder Woman
Let’s educate our girls that be the Hero of your life ,get good education , achieve your targets ,fulfill your dreams ,stand for your rights ,raise your voice against injustice .
Last but not the least live a life of honor and dignity and never ever change your true self to win someone’s love because if someone doesn’t like your originality and honesty they are never going to accept you even for your changed version .
People are insensitive but at least you should respect yourself enough and just stick to your truth the way God has made you .
Oh my Lovelies my warriors! kill the Cinderellas inside you, You are not weak you all are amazing and brave so be a Wonder Woman .
