TEHRAN: Field Marshal Asim Munir met with the Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, Major General Mohsen Rezaei, in Tehran. The high-level meeting focused on regional security dynamics and bilateral relations.
According to Iranian state media, Secretary Mohsen Rezaei expressed deep distrust toward the United States during the talks. Rezaei emphasized Iran’s security control over the strategic Strait of Hormuz and stressed that Washington must fundamentally change its behavior.
“The United States must alter its conduct and take concrete, practical steps regarding the implementation of the agreed terms,” Rezaei stated during the meeting.
The discussion took place as part of Pakistan’s diplomatic efforts to promote peace and de-escalate growing tensions in the region. Field Marshal Asim Munir reiterated Islamabad’s commitment to regional stability and highlighted ongoing cooperation on border security between the two neighboring nations.
