The federal government has approved the deployment of Rangers in Islamabad and Punjab to maintain law and order and support security operations.
According to a notification issued by the Ministry of Interior, Rangers and police have been directed to take defensive action in response to violent attacks.
The notification also instructed Rangers and police to take necessary measures to deal with any violent activity.
Rangers personnel will be responsible for maintaining law and order and providing security support, according to the Ministry of Interior.
The deployment comes as authorities strengthen security arrangements in Islamabad and Punjab.
