Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir held an important meeting to discuss the country’s security situation, as well as political and administrative matters.
Sources said the two also held a brief consultation on Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman. They later attended an important meeting.
Sources further said Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has called a review meeting today to discuss the overall situation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP).
Federal ministers, senior military officials and the KP governor will attend the meeting, according to sources.
The meeting will review the province’s overall situation. The prime minister will also be briefed on various decisions related to KP and their outcomes, sources added.
