White House Set to Make Key Announcement on Iran: Sources

The White House is expected to make a major announcement on Iran, with a proposal backed by Pakistan and Qatar potentially opening a new path towards negotiations, according to sources.

Progress is reportedly possible in exchange for nuclear concessions, while efforts are underway to finalise a draft agreement ahead of any potential deal or announcement.

Field Marshal Asim Munir held meetings with Iranian leaders before the Pakistani delegation departed Tehran, with key messages exchanged during the discussions. A Qatari delegation arrived in Tehran shortly after the Pakistani delegation’s departure.

Sources suggest that Iran’s proposals have largely been accepted, including a possible return to the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding. However, the details of any potential agreement remain subject to finalisation.

Two major announcements related to the Middle East situation are expected from the Oval Office and Doha, potentially easing pressure on the global economy.

Meanwhile, the Iran-Pakistan border is expected to reopen early in the morning, according to the report.
