Azam Khan Has a Hilarious Response to Fake News of His Death

A video circulating on social media shows the 28-year-old cricketer scrolling through his phone with friends when he comes across a local news account reporting his supposed death.

The fake report claimed that Azam had passed away the previous day and described the development as “extremely sad news.”

Instead of appearing concerned, Azam laughed off the false claim and jokingly commented on his own supposed death.

“He was a very good player. He was supposed to play for Pakistan tomorrow, but he died today,” Azam joked, prompting laughter from those around him.

His lighthearted response made it clear that the report was completely false.

The incident is the latest example of fabricated content involving prominent Pakistani cricketers appearing online. Recently, former Pakistan fast bowler Wasim Akram also had to respond to a fake AI-generated video that falsely claimed he had died.

Azam’s family has faced a similar situation before. In December 2025, false reports circulated claiming that his father, former Pakistan captain Moin Khan, had passed away. Moin later released a video message confirming that he was alive.

Azam Khan has not represented Pakistan since June 6, 2024, when he featured against the United States in the T20 World Cup in Dallas. He has played 14 T20Is for Pakistan and scored 88 runs.
