Opposition leader Allama Raja Nasir Abbas has strongly rejected remarks attributed to National Assembly Speaker Ayaz Sadiq, saying that neither he nor Mahmood Khan Achakzai had been contacted by anyone regarding the matter.
Speaking to journalists at Parliament House, Raja Nasir Abbas said he strongly denied the comments made by the National Assembly speaker in an interview.
“Unfortunately, there is too much lying in Pakistan’s politics,” Abbas said, adding that misleading statements are being made and people sometimes issue statements against their conscience.
Abbas said neither he nor Mahmood Khan Achakzai had received any contact regarding the issue.
“We are learning through you today that such a statement has been made,” he told journalists.
