RAWALPINDI: A delegation of POWERUS, a US-based company specialising in defence and critical infrastructure solutions, called on Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces (COAS & CDF) Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir at General Headquarters (GHQ), Rawalpindi.
The delegation was led by POWERUS representative Mr. Robert Bret Velicovich.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the meeting focused on matters of mutual interest, evolving trends in defence technology and potential areas of cooperation between Pakistan and the US-based company.
The two sides also discussed opportunities for collaboration in defence procurement, production and capacity building, reflecting the growing importance of advanced technology in modern defence and security systems.
During the meeting, Field Marshal Asim Munir emphasised the importance of technological innovation and advanced solutions in strengthening national security and enhancing the country’s resilience.
The COAS & CDF highlighted the need to adopt modern technologies and innovative solutions to address emerging security challenges and strengthen critical infrastructure.
Both sides expressed interest in further developing engagement and exploring cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
The meeting comes as technological advancements continue to play an increasingly important role in defence, national security and the protection of critical infrastructure.
