Indian Muslim Teacher Arrested, Fired and Forced to Apologize for Celebrating Pakistan’s Victory

India’s sham of secularism has been exposed once again as a Muslim teacher at a private school in India is being targeted by a radical system. Nafeesa Attari was forced to apologize after she was fired for celebrating Pakistan’s memorable victory over India in the Twenty20 World Cup.

According to Indian media reports, the incident took place in Udaipur, Rajasthan, where a Muslim female school teacher named Nafeesa Attari could not control her emotions over Pakistan’s victory and uploaded WhatsApp statuses to express her happiness.

In the status, Nafeesa Attari shared a photo of Pakistan’s opening duo Babar Azam and Muhammad Rizwan during the match with the caption, “we won.” Nafeesa’s excitement didn’t last long when after seeing her status, the parents of a student texted her and asked, “Do you support Pakistan?” to which she replied with a ‘yes.’

After the woman’s response, the student’s parents took a screenshot of her status and sent it to the school administration. Already frustrated over India’s defeat, the administrators took action and fired the female teacher without listening to her side of the story.

In a letter, the school stated that “Neerja Modi School teacher has been dismissed with immediate effect as per the meeting of Sojatia Charitable Trust.”

After being fired from the school, Nafeesa was arrested by the Udaipur Police in Rajasthan on Wednesday. The police registered a case against her on the charges of igniting “riots and hatred” in the community.

Furthermore, Nafeesa Attari was forced to apologize for uploading a simple WhatsApp status. Nafeesa released a video message in which she explained that it was a joke and she and her family had divided the teams between them to enjoy the match.

“This does not mean that I was supporting Pakistan. As soon as I realised that I have made a mistake, I deleted the status message. I am sorry if I have hurt anybody’s sentiments,” she said.
